In addition to the official RHCE exam objectives, a successful candidate needs to satisfy the following requirements:
- Set up a virtualization environment (a ‘lab’ to get hands-on experience),
- Configure an iScsi target (to test the iScsi initiator configuration),
- Configure a DNS master server (to test the Postfix configuration),
- Configure a NTP time server (to test the NTP configuration),
- Configure a KDC (to test Kerberos client configuration),
- Understand the authconfig command (not mandatory but useful for Kerberos client configuration),
- Understand PAM (not mandatory but useful),
- Configure a mail alias,
- Mount an iso image.
